Royalty and Production Information

Now you have chosen a New Play for production. Congratulations! We know it will be rewarding for your performers and your audiences.

Please be mindful that all New Plays are royalty plays protected by the international copyright union. Royalties are payable even for not for profit companies and even if no admission is charged. This is our way of giving playwrights some small return on their investment of time and talent. It also keeps us in business.

Our standard royalty for theaters playing for audiences of 300 or less is $50.00 for the first performance, $45.00 each subsequent performance.

For larger theaters, please apply to the publisher(434-823-7555) for a quote based on size of theater, ticket prices, number of performances, and grant support. Special arrangements may also be made for very small theaters or a large number of performances.
